In our recent interview, we spoke with Tom about the crucial role recovery plays in his training routines, particularly through the use of ice baths. He emphasizes that recovery is just as important as the workouts themselves, as it helps reduce muscle soreness, accelerate healing, and improve overall performance. How did you hear about us?

“I came across Chill Tubs because I saw you guys everywhere, and top athletes using your product. I was very, very interested on how it was benefiting their performance.

I take pride in performing to my best. So, if the best athletes were using it, I wanted to get amongst it. So, it was definitely an interest from the off as far as recovery goes prior to having the Chill Tub.”

Why did you choose cold water therapy?

“I set myself a crazy challenge for sub three marathon, which terrifies me even thinking about it. It was the best day of my life, and, I knew that my body was going to be tested and pushed to its limits. So, recovery was going to be a key integral part of meaning. I could push myself harder and actually reach new heights to achieve this challenge of the sub three. Your ice bath’s are a massive part of this.”

Before Chill Tubs, what was your recovery routine?

“It was mainly mobility, a bit of swimming, maybe the odd massage. But to be honest with you, I did slightly put off my recovery. And now Chill Tubs is in my life, it makes you realise it’s the sort of recovery tool I never knew I needed. Now I’m recovering faster, I’m feeling better, I’m pushing harder and it is a part of my everyday routine now.”

“It’s been a game changer for me. While some prefer ice baths in the morning for an energy boost, I love using them in the evening.
