French Formula 1 driver Esteban Ocon, races with Moneygram Haas. He achieved his first podium in 2020, won the Hungarian GP in 2021, and recently secured second place at the 2024 São Paulo GP. Renowned for his skill and resilience, he’s one of F1’s brightest rising stars.
For elite athletes like Ocon, recovery is essential, especially in a sport as physically demanding as Formula 1, where drivers endure extreme G-forces, high cockpit temperatures, and rapid heart rates. Cold therapy, particularly ice baths, has become a crucial part of Ocon’s recovery routine. By reducing muscle soreness and inflammation, ice baths enable him to recover faster and perform at his peak. Chill Tubs’ high-performance ice baths offer athletes the tools they need for fast, effective recovery, helping drivers like Ocon maintain focus, resilience, and physical readiness for every race. Cold therapy not only aids physical recovery but also supports mental clarity, keeping him sharp for the next Grand Prix.
Did you always want to be a Formula One driver?
“It was the only one thing that I wanted to do. I always wanted to be a Formula One driver. My Dad was a big fan of cars in general, not only racing cars, and this has had a big impact on who I am.
I am so passionate about it. When I have a weekend with friends we go out in cars and go drifting. It is my passion and even better that I get to call it my job.”

How has Chill Tubs benefited you?
“I’ve definitely experienced a benefit, not so much in concentration level because I think that’s something that we work very hard on already with training routine. And that’s what we try to visualise a lot, but probably self-control in breathing. Self-control in feeling. So, I feel a lot better about little things.”

After a race what is your routine?
“After a race I have a couple of days and then I need to be ready to go again. After I have done a proper session of recovery in the Chill Tub, I then have two days of not doing anything and trying to rest as much as I can. So now I am using a Chill Tub I might be able to cut this time by 50% and have only one day of rest and come back again.”
