A Chill Tub is always something that she has wanted to try in the last few months.

Sally told us “There has been so much out there on the health and wellbeing benefits of having cold showers, lake or sea swimming and now of course being able to get in to a Chill Tub.

“A lot of what I do is now is all about Optimising Your Age, and my whole career has been about what else can we add in as a preventative to look after ourselves to ensure we have enough energy and be as healthy as we can be.”

Sally is really excited to see what the effects of the Chill Tub are going to be.

We asked Sally if she has any experience of cold water therapy already.

Sally said: “I always used to have a cold shower before and after when I used to compete. I do go in the sea but don’t do it regularly. Sometimes I do have a cold shower after training and that is about it.

“It is a whole new product. I am excited to see how I feel; what effects it will have on the body both in the short and long term.”

“There is so much research coming out to show it can help your mental health, your joints and your circulation. So, I am excited to see what it can do.”

Sally told us the family will use the Chill Tub in different ways.

She said: “Personally, I will use it in the morning, after I have exercised. This is when I find I have a build-up of muscle tension and achiness.

“Jon my husband coaches’ elite athletes. A vital part of their recovery is ice baths and ice tubs so it will be brilliant to bring this into their recovery and get them in the Chill Tub each day after training.

“And with three boys there will be some competition about who can stay in the longest and the lowest temperature. It will be a family challenge!”

In partnership with Euphoria Lifestyle, Sally Gunnell came onboard with Chill Tubs, and invited us to her home to discuss why she chose to partner with us and how she is hoping the Chill Tub will benefit her. Sally was thrilled to receive her new Chill Tub and is excited to see what the effects will be when she uses it as part of her morning routine. Sally’s whole career has been about what else can she add in as a preventive to look after herself, have energy and be as healthy as she can be.
